The First Capital Plus Premier League bounced back on Saturday afternoon following Friday’s only game which saw Amidaus Professionals beat Inter-Allies by 2-0 at the Tema Stadium.

A first half stoppage time goal was all King Faisal needed at the Baba Yara Stadium to boost their confidence for next week’s away fixture at Inter-Allies with a slim 1-0 victory over Sekondi Hasaacas in Kumasi. Wilson Andoh’s goal now sees the Kumasi-based side temporarily move to the 5th position with a couple of outstanding matches plus a game on Sunday yet to be decided.

At the Kpando Park, Local Black Stars player, Paul Asare De Vries’ only goal proved the difference between Kpando Heart of Lions and Wa All Stars. After blowing away a penalty which could have at least salvaged them a point, Lions failed in their bid to record two successive victories on the back of their 2-0 win over Liberty last weekend.

But the biggest excitement came at the Agyemang-Gyawu Park where Mohammed Polo’s Accra Hearts of Oak stole a hard-fought 1-0 victory away at Aduana Stars. Having recorded back-to-back losses against Wa All Stars, Eric Kumi ensured that Hearts fans finally had something to celebrate with a cool finish.

The First Capital Plus Premier League continues on Sunday afternoon with Ashanti Gold taking on Bechem United at the Len Clay Stadium.
